Customer Service (Lynchburg, VA)

Are you a paranormal investigator who loves to chat all about the strange and unusual? Do you love ghost hunting with kindred spirits?

If so, you may know that actual full time positions are a rarity in the ghost hunting field. But, now is your chance - with the most reputable and well-respected company in this field.

Be a part of the GhostStop Crew!

We are seeking a Customer Service rep who is familiar with the tools used for ghost hunting. As our front-line to customers, we desire someone good with people and not afraid to show off our wicked showroom, pick up the phone and chat with our customers to help them with orders and answer questions.

We manufacture, distribute and sell ghost hunting equipment to paranormal investigators all around the world. We pride ourselves in knowing our equipment well and providing unbeatable customer service to our fellow investigators. As such, an understanding of this field and the tools used is necessary. Experience with customer service is a big plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for helping customers with placing orders over the phone and in-store
  • Answering our multi-line phone system, emails, social messages and online live chat
  • Help customers with sales and answer questions about our products. Many times this requires a good handle on the technology behind our products. Of course, we can train to fill in any gaps. But a good understanding of the tools used and experience using them in the field will be super helpful along with the ability to explain this to our customers.
  • Other duties include aiding customers with any processing, payment or shipping issues and general office duties.

Requirements:

  • General knowledge of ghost hunting equipment is required. While advanced equipment experience is a plus, we can train you to be an expert.
  • Knowledge of basic computer office applications like email is also required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Customer service or tech support experience is a big plus.

In short, we're looking for someone who is comfortable speaking with customers about ghost hunting equipment. We lean heavily toward those with a passion to learn, reliability and integrity. Tech training will be provided. So, you don't have to be an electronics engineer to follow the tech stuff. But fellow geeks would fit in rather well.

LOCATION: Position is ON-SITE ONLY at our office in downtown Lynchburg, VA. Local is preferred for timeliness, but we may be open to discuss relocation for the right candidate.

What's it like working at GhostStop? Well, we don't wear ties. Heck, most of us wear shorts. Occasionally, our dogs visit. Sometimes we dress up. And not like suit-and-tie kind of dress up. I mean Star Wars cosplay kind of dress up. We all get along well because most of us are geeky. We rather like it that way. We're all super respectful, kind and work well with each other. We also LOVE what we do. We're passionate about doing it right. We've spent over 16 year building a reputation for solid work along with top-notch service and we have no plans of straying from that. That's what it's like to be part of the GhostStop Crew.
