The revolutionary Ghost Box Ovilus X converts environmental readings into real words. Now you can get real words and phonetic responses to your questions. Theories suggest that spirits and other paranormal entities may be able to alter our environment such as electromagnet frequencies, temperature, etc. The Ovilus X takes advantage of this by using these frequencies to choose a response from a preset database of 2,048 words. The idea behind this, is that an intelligent entity will be able to alter the environment in such a way that forces the Ovilus to "speak" a response appropriately.

Digital Text Display DTD
The Ovilus X on it's own will 'speak' the words via an audio speaker. The DTD unit, which you can add to the Ovilus X, is a small digital display that converts the 'spoken' words into digital text. This is very helpful as sometimes the words that the Ovilus 'says' may be hard to understand. The DTD is not included with the Ovilus X but can be added to your purchase. Select the DTD as an add-on when adding this item to your cart via the dropdown box above.


The Ovilus X has several modes including:
  • Dictionary Mode - As described above, words are "spoken" from the database
  • Phonetic Mode - Speech is formed by the basic blocks of human speech
  • Reverse Phonetic Mode - Speech is formed by the basic blocks of human speech then played in reverse order.
  • Touch Mode - The Ovilus X will alert when touched
  • Energy Mode - Like an EM pump it produces a small EMF output
  • White Noise Mode - Creates a low volume White noise for EVP sessions
  • Say Last Word Said - The Ovilus X will say all the words it has spoken in Mode 1 in case you missed one
  • Sync Mode - This mode is designed to help "sync" with your video and audio devices for an investigation
The Ovilus X  has a few ports for external use:
  • Data Port for external devices such as the Digital Text Display (DTD) unit and other future expansions
  • Audio Port for headphones or recording devices
  • USB Port for PC connection

A Must Have!!! February 12, 2013

I was very sceptical about this after taking on an Investigation two weeks ago to Graber Olive house in Onterio, CA.  Went on an investigation Saturday night at Rancho Cumalos in Piru, CA.  The Ovilus was going crazy.  Gave a name of a person, followed by metal.  Come to find out it was the name of the Black Smith of the Ranch.  Also the Docent was telling us history of the location in the old school house.  Said Teacher, followed by Story.  I was very surprised, and amazed!!  I am now a beleiver in the Ovilus!!

WOW, What a Surprise January 21, 2013

I bought the Ghost Box Ovilus X along with the recommended DTD device and all I can say is WOW! Although I was a little skeptical, I thought I'd give it a chance - even waited a while before I installed the batteries and hooked it up (I really wasn't excited to be disappointed). Well, was I in for a surprise.

No sooner had I turned it on I started getting voices which the DTD immediately clarified (you will want the DTD to fully understand the voices). As a medium, I knew I could ask questions through my spirit that other spirits could pick up on. To my delight I got an immediate response and not just a generic canned response but one that made perfect sense in answer to my question. (by spiritual I'm referring to focusing within - without verbally announcing my question)

Overall, I'm really impressed and would highly recommend it to a friend.

Very different November 1, 2012

This device is very different than anything I've ever bought. without a doubt order the DTD with it because it is hard to understand sometimes. It's worth getting to experiment with but I wouldn't call it concrete evidence. For me the software you download for it was kind of hard to work with but once I figured it out, it's quite helpful. The maker of this device says that the batteries only  last about an hour and a half but I've had it for 2 days and use on and off all day, and it still is running strong on the first 3 batteries. I would say get it and have fun with it.

I just recently got the ovilus and the dtd box and I love it! I haven't used it a whole lot yet but it's been great so far. I do recommend getting the dtd (digital display text) because some of the words are very hard to figure out if not. This is a definite must have if you are ghost hunting!!
